What's been happening?

Landlord problems meant I couldn't attend the Agda Implementors’ Meeting. Very disappointed about that.

Unforeseen Circumstances meant that during November, December, and most of January I was not really able to study.

When I was able to get some studying done Software Foundations has been the most enjoyable.

For the last month or so I've been playing with Unity. Found it quite fun, although there are quite a few bugs in Unity that make it crash a lot. I've made a few components that can be building blocks for bigger games, as well as creating procedurally generated objects (eg cities).

The last week or so I've been thinking about what features my favourite games (board, video, what ever) have that make them interesting, and also what are their common features. I've been doodling symbols that might represent concepts/tasks. Using symbols will hopefully mean less text.

Paid to attend Midlands Graduate School.

The speakers, schedule, and dates have been published for Oregon Summer School. I should also pay for this soon to make sure I can go.
